Description
The building is a late 17th-century pigeoncote located in a field facing a house called The Cottage. It is constructed of red brick with some ashlar and features a plain tile roof. The pigeoncote has brick coped crow stepped gables with kneelers and dentil eaves. It stands two storeys plus a garret and consists of a single bay. There is a band of raised brick and dentil on the first floor, except on the west side. The north side has a single slit ventilator, while the east side features a segmental arched doorway with ashlar hinge and lock blocks. Inside the garret, there is a single panel under a triangular head with a raised brick surround and five rows of openings for birds, complete with flight perches underneath. The south side also has two slit ventilators.
