Description

This is a terrace of three early 19th century houses located on Millgate, Newark on Trent. The houses are constructed of brick, with the right-hand gable rendered and dressed with stone, and have a 20th-century pantile roof. The building features a plinth, a band at first floor level, dentilled eaves, and two gable, one ridge, and one side wall stack. A three-bay projecting central section is prominent. The windows are glazing bar sashes, each with a multi-keyed lintel. The building is three storeys high, with a five-window range on the main façade. Above this, there are five smaller windows. The ground floor has a central window flanked by doorcases housing beaded six-panel doors with overlights; the right-hand door is larger than the others. Single windows are located on either side. Below the ground floor windows are small slit openings indicating cellars.
