Description
The coach house, located to the west of the stables at Langford Hall, was built around 1780 to 1790 and is likely the work of John Carr of York. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof with a single brick chimney and ashlar dressings. The building includes an eaves band, a ground floor band, a sill band, and an impost band.
It is a single-storey structure with a central bay that slightly projects and contains three arches. These arches hold double doors with wood panelling and a square light above. The western arch has had its panelling bricked in and the door altered. On the first floor, there are three casement windows, with the easternmost window having been relocated. The western bay features a central door with an arch above, flanked by single arched windows with ashlar sills. These windows have been partially blocked and now have later casements. In the eastern bay, the door has been moved and the windows have been blocked in.
