Description

This railway bridge, located 100 metres west of Hermitage Mill, was built around 1875, likely for the Midland Railway. It features a single skew span supported by wrought-iron beams and has a pierced cast-iron balustrade topped with a moulded handrail. The bridge is anchored by rock-faced stone abutments that include an ashlar impost band, with piers at each end adorned with moulded ashlar caps.
