Description
The railway bridge, built around 1840 for the North Midland Railway Company, is located to the west of Weirmill Bridge. It is constructed from regularly coursed rock-faced gritstone with ashlar dressings. The bridge features a single arch with splayed abutments and rusticated ashlar on the arch, which rises from a projecting moulded plinth band. Above the arch, there is a boldly projecting roll moulding, topped by a shallow plinth parapet. The arch is lined with skewed brick.
