Description
The mausoleum, located 75 metres northeast of the chapel at Mansfield Cemetery, was built in 1858 and features later 19th-century alterations. It is constructed from rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings and has a flat roof, showcasing a Greek Revival style. The structure has a plinth, a plain impost band, and a blocking course, with rock-faced acroteria at the corners. It has a square plan with battered walls. The west front features a moulded Egyptian-style doorcase with a cornice and a frieze that includes a Greek inscription. There is a blocked doorway with an inscribed marble tablet dated 1864 and 1874. A rock-faced pediment that once adorned the mausoleum is now dislodged. The east front includes a cross-shaped opening, and the blocking course is inscribed with the year 1858.
