Description

This is a pair of houses, dating to circa 1800, which have undergone alterations in the late 19th century and are now used as a shop. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone with stone dressings, and has a concrete tile roof with a single brick gable stack. A band runs along the eaves, and the windows have projecting surrounds. The front is three stories high, with a two-window, then a two-window range on the upper floors, featuring 12-pane sashes. The upper floor windows are similar. The ground floor has a late 19th-century shop front with wooden pilasters and brackets supporting a full-width fascia. A recessed entrance with a glazed door is on the right, flanked by two-light shop windows. To the left is a three-light shop window.
