Description

This listing describes a group of three headstones located on the south side of the tower at the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Warsop. The headstones date from the 17th and 18th centuries and are made of slate, ashlar, and dressed stone.

On the left, there is a stone with a segmental head dedicated to William Smith, who passed away in 1681. Next to it is a slate stone commemorating Joseph Hoore, who died in 1754, which is signed by 'Wm Charles Sculp.' On the right, there is a stone with chamfered corners that is inscribed with the name of '?K ..... Middleton, wife of Thomas,' and dates to 1649.
