Description
This boundary stone, dating from 1757, is located to the north of Papplewick Pumping Station. It is made of ashlar and has a square plan with a pyramidal cap. The south front, which is now hidden by a boundary wall to the pumping station, is said to be inscribed with the letter "P" and the date "1757 January 11." This stone is one of a group of five stones that mark the northern boundary of the parish of Papplewick.
