Description
Nos. 60, 62, 64, and 66 on Bridge Street is a house dating from 1769, now used as commercial properties. There is a 19th-century two-bay addition to the right. The building is constructed of brick, rendered, with pantile roofs and features ashlar dressings, a moulded eaves cornice, and a single coped gable with a kneeler. It has two storeys plus attics and consists of seven bays. The irregular facade includes an off-centre doorway and five 20th-century shop fronts. Above the shop fronts, there are remains of a segmental pediment to the door and seven blocked windows with ashlar architraves. Additionally, there are three gabled pedimented dormers with 20th-century casements. At the rear, there is an 18th-century wing that has a re-set keystone inscribed with '1769'.
