Description
Nos. 79 and 81 on Bridge Street is a house that has been converted into shops, dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of brick with pale headers and features a pantile roof. It has a coursed squared rubble plinth, ashlar sills, keystones, and coping. There is a brick band at the second floor and a parapet. The structure has three storeys and six bays.
On the left side of the front, there are two 20th-century shop fronts, and on the right, there is a carriage entry with a 20th-century surround. Above the shop fronts, there are six plain sash windows with rubbed brick heads and moulded timber frames, and above those, there are six sashes with vertical glazing bars. At the rear, there is a 19th-century addition made of brick with a pantile roof, which is two storeys high and has two bays.
