Description
Lloyds Bank is a building constructed between 1843 and 1844, designed by Thomas Winter of Nottingham in the Classical Revival style. The structure is made of ashlar and coursed squared rubble, with some areas rendered. It features a rendered plinth and eaves band, a moulded cornice, a plain band at the first floor, and a parapet, along with a single stack on the side wall. The building has two storeys and four bays.
At the center, there are two 20th-century casement windows with Doric responds and moulded heads, flanked by two square porches that have plain pilasters and an entablature, leading to plain recessed doorways. The doorway on the right has a 21st-century glazed door with an overlight, while the left doorway features a panel with a cash dispenser. Above these doorways, there are four plain sash windows with moulded architraves and hoods.
