Description

This is an aisled barn, likely dating from around 1700, with later 19th-century additions. The barn is constructed of red brick, retaining much of its original timber frame, and has a pantile roof. A single aisle is located to the east. The west side features a large doorway with a wooden door, while the east side has a smaller, blocked doorway also with a wooden door. A single-storey stable block, built in the 19th century and constructed of red brick with a hipped pantile roof and dentil eaves, extends from the west side. To the south, there’s a further single-storey red brick and pantile range, now converted into a cottage. Internally, the barn has a purlin roof with six remaining main posts, wall plates, and numerous original timbers.
