Description
The former stables to West Retford Hall, dating from the 18th century, are a two-storey brick structure with Welsh slate and pantile roofs. The building features four windows and a door on one side, along with two additional windows that have glazing bars and a segmental-arched head, including two with Gothick glazing bars. There is a round-headed passage entry, while the opposite side contains two carriage entries. The third side of the building backs onto a brick garden wall, which has later storage extensions. The former stables are part of a group that includes West Retford Hall, the Cottage, Rose Ghyll Cottage, a farm building to Rose Ghyll Cottage, and The Barn.
