Description

Chapelgate House is a late 18th-century building located on the south side of Chapelgate. It is three storeys tall and constructed of brick, featuring a new roof with end stacks and a brick dentil eaves cornice. The house has four windows with segmental arches, no glazing bars, and flush cases. On the ground floor, there are three windows. The entrance is highlighted by a moulded wood doorcase with a cornice above a later four-panel door and a rectangular fanlight. Chapelgate House forms a group with No 40.
