Description
No. 10 Bar Road is a house dating from the mid-17th century. It is constructed of brick, which is colourwashed, with the ground floor rendered. The building features a steeply pitched pantiled roof, a tarred plinth, a first-floor band, and dentillated and corbelled eaves. The gables are coped with kneelers, and there are two ridge stacks. The house is two storeys high, with a single-storey rear and three bays.
On the left side, there is a 20th-century half-glazed door, followed by a 20th-century shop window and a glazing bar casement. Further along, there is another half-glazed door and single glazing bar casements. Above these, there are three 20th-century glazing bar casements, and several openings have rendered architraves. The right gable features a single glazing bar casement, with a two-light Yorkshire sash above and a blocked opening. The left gable has a single 19th-century glazing bar casement. The rear elevation consists entirely of 20th-century windows.
