Description
The pigeoncote at Old Hall is a late 18th-century structure made of red brick, with some areas rendered. It features a pyramidal pantile roof topped with an iron weather vane and has dentillated eaves. The building is three storeys high and consists of a single bay. On the west side, there is a band at the second floor level, and on the first floor, a single semicircular glazing bar fixed light is set within a raised brick surround, accompanied by a wooden panel below that contains pigeon holes and a wooden ledge. The top floor has a single round owl entrance, also with a raised brick surround. The other sides of the building have blocked openings, while the north side features another round owl entrance. Inside, there are nesting boxes located above the ground floor.
