Description

No. 4 Carolgate is a mid-19th century building that stands three storeys high, constructed from brick with a pantile roof. There is a brick band that runs between the storeys. The building features two windows, each with moulded surrounds. The first-floor windows have moulded surrounds and cornices supported by carved brackets, and they do not have glazing bars. The shop front includes a cornice with carved brackets and features two arcaded lights along with one plain rectangular light. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 4, 6, and 8, which are of local interest.
