Description
Drayton Gate is a pair of gate piers and flanking walls dating from the late 18th century, located on Blyth Road in Worksop. The structure is made of plain and striated ashlar, featuring chamfered rustication and vermiculated panels, as well as sills, lintels, and coping. The gate piers are rectangular with pediments and have round-headed niches. Above these niches, there are panels displaying Arms and supporters in low relief. Each pier is adorned with a curved bracket on either side. The flanking walls include semi-circular recesses with keystones and a single square pier topped with a pyramidal cap.
