Description
The signal box at Beckingham Station, built around 1875, is constructed from gault and red brick with timber framing and a slate roof. It features a dentillated band at the first floor, chamfered stone coping, decorative bargeboards, and turned finials. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a three-bay panelled base. On the north side, there is an external timber stair leading to a landing that has a timber toilet enclosure. The west front displays three three-light glazing bar Yorkshire sashes above, while the north side has a two-light glazing bar Yorkshire sash and a 20th-century door to the left. Above this, there is a vertical matchboarded gable with a ventilator and a name board for the signal box. The south gable features two two-light Yorkshire sashes, and at the rear, there is a single plain sash above. This structure is included for its group value only.
