Description
No. 29 on Potter Street is a pair of houses that have been converted into a shop, dating from the 18th century. The building is constructed of brick, which has been colourwashed, and features a pantile roof. It has a rendered plinth, a first-floor band on the right gable, moulded eaves, and a single gable stack. The structure stands two storeys tall with attics and consists of three bays.
The entrance is an off-centre timber doorcase with a keystone. To the left of the doorcase is a three-light mullioned and transomed shop window, while to the right is a single casement window in a blocked doorway, followed by another three-light shop window. Above these, there is a continuous 20th-century hood. On the upper floor, a central plain sash window is flanked by two larger plain sashes. At the top, there are two leaded gabled dormers, each featuring a single Yorkshire sash window.
