Description
The Reindeer is a public house dating from the 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of rendered red brick and features a pantile roof with a single axial brick ridge stack. The building has a lobby entry plan and is two stories high with a three-bay front. It includes a plinth, a central gabled porch with a four-panelled door and small sidelights. To the left of the porch is a single glazing bar sash window, while to the right is a larger fixed glazing bar light. On the first floor, there are two glazing bar sash windows at the eaves. To the right of the front, there is a 20th-century single-storey extension. Inside, the right-hand room retains a large moulded principal beam with shield stepped stops and facetted and stopped joists. The fireplace bressummer is still present but has been cased in.
