Description
The Clergy House to the Roman Catholic Church of St Thomas of Canterbury was built between 1865 and 1868. It is designed in a style similar to that of the church. This two-storey building is constructed of red brick and features a Welsh slate roof with a ridge tile. It has blue brick bands and a brick dentil eaves cornice. The façade includes a window arrangement of 2:1:2, with stone lintels and blue brick impost and cill bands. The ground floor has two pairs of windows and one single window, all of which are hung sashes with glazing bars. The entrance features a round-arched doorway adorned with alternate voussoirs made of stone and brick, topped by a modern door set beneath a semi-circular fanlight. The Clergy House and the Roman Catholic Church of St Thomas of Canterbury are recognized as a group.
