Description
The Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, with some minor alterations from the 18th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone rubble and features a pantile roof, along with two brick gable stacks and a single ridge stack. The building originally had a lobby entry. The front of the house is one and a half stories high and has a brick eaves course with dentil detailing. It includes four window bays, which contain glazing bar sash windows with timber lintels; the second window from the left is narrower and is located in the blocking of a former doorway. On the first floor, there are three narrow casement windows that are irregularly placed. The entrance, added in the 20th century, is located in the right-hand gable end and is sheltered by a gabled hood.
