Description

No. 27 Market Place is an early 19th-century building constructed of yellow brick with stucco dressings and a slate roof. It features a 2½ storey, 4 bay facade that extends around the corner into Queen Street. The ground floor is finished in rusticated stucco, adorned with Doric pilasters and an entablature, and has modern sash windows. The first and second floor windows are also sashed and topped with shallow stucco pediments. The corner windows are broader and curved, with the first floor corner window featuring a stucco surround and a larger pediment.
