Description
The barn at Walesby Farmhouse is an early 19th-century structure built from coursed ironstone rubble with red brick dressings. It features a pantile roof with brick coped gables, decorative brick eaves, and a central ridge stack. The barn is two storeys high. The north front includes a large round-headed doorway that is brick dressed, flanked by mounting blocks. To the left of this doorway is a single brick-dressed opening with a segmental head, and there are two similar openings to the right, all equipped with painted wooden shutters. The west side has 14 brick and stone-dressed steps leading up to a small round-headed opening with a plank door at the base. These steps lead to another round-headed, brick-dressed doorway with a plank door. The crowstep gable has been filled in with red brick. To the south of the barn, there is a long low lean-to that is contemporary with the barn. This building is included for its group value only.
