Description

Dovecote Cottage is a house from the early 19th century, constructed of painted coursed ironstone with some red brick. It features a pantile roof with gable stacks and decorated eaves. The building has a two-storey, three-bay front with a central doorway that is sheltered by a small 20th-century ironstone porch, which has a plain plank door. On either side of the porch are single three-light 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars and 20th-century shutters. Above, there are three sliding sash windows; the one over the doorway has two lights, while the flanking windows each have three lights. There is a 20th-century extension to the right of the cottage.
