Description

Three houses, dating from circa 1890, are located on the north side of High Street, Market Deeping. The buildings are constructed of coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar rusticated quoins and dressings. They have a slate roof with a single gable and two ridge stacks, two of which have bracketed and moulded cornices. The two-storey, five-bay front is arranged with the first, third, and fifth bays projecting and each having a separate gable. Features include a plain plinth and double first-floor cill bands supporting pierced scrolled brackets beneath the overhanging eaves. The ground floor has two flush panel doors set within semi-circular arched surrounds, accented with key and impost blocks. The projecting bays feature paired sashes with corbelled bases, semi-circular aprons, and gabled tops, all finished in ashlar. The first floor mirrors this design with three similar paired windows in plain ashlar surrounds. The buildings are included in the list for group value only.
