Description
Riverside House is an early 19th-century house constructed from squared limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings. The slate roof is topped with two ashlar gable stacks. The building has a two-storey, three-bay front with a central six-panel door that includes a fanlight. This door is sheltered by a contemporary porch with a flat hood supported by narrow iron stanchions, and the sides of the porch have decorative pierced cast iron screens. On either side of the entrance are single tripartite glazing bar sash bow windows, which are adorned with a Gothick frieze and a dentillated cornice above a flat lead roof. The first floor features three glazing bar sash windows, all of which have plain ashlar lintels.
