Description

This mid-18th century house, with an archway and office, was altered in the early 19th century and 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a pantile roof and brick gable stacks, one of which is rendered. The two-storey, three-bay front has a central half-glazed door flanked by single, bowed tripartite sash windows with plain cornices and flat lead roofs. The first floor has two three-light casement windows set into the eaves. All openings are topped with wooden lintels. To the right is an elliptical archway with impost and keyblocks, leading to a yard behind. Beyond the archway is a recessed half-glazed door and a further tripartite glazing bar sash window, belonging to number 19, which has been reduced to a single-storey office.
