Description
White House Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse that has been renovated in the late 20th century and is now used as a house. It is constructed of brick, which was formerly colourwashed, and features ashlar dressings and pantile roofs. The rear wing has glazed pantiles. The building includes two external brick gable stacks, a plinth, a first-floor band, a rendered eaves band, coped gables, and quoins at the rear corners. It is two storeys high with garrets and has an L-plan layout with a three-window range.
The symmetrical front has three 12-pane sash windows, and below these are two similar sash windows, all featuring splayed rendered lintels. The central entrance has a plain stone doorcase with a flat hood and a 19th-century four-panel door with an overlight. The gables have single small garret windows. The two-storey rear wing has four windows and includes single gable and ridge stacks.
