Description
The gateway and boundary wall to the south and east of Sedgebrook Manor date from the early 19th century and may have been designed by Vulliamy. The structure features two cast-iron openwork gatepiers, each topped with lampholders that have twisted stems. The wrought-iron gate has a spearhead design with a downswept top and an arch brace. The boundary wall is made of coursed squared stone and has a rendered rubble coping. To the right of the gateway, there is a curved section of wall approximately 50 meters long, and to the left, a curved section approximately 100 meters long. At the junction with Village Street, the wall has a rounded corner. Along Village Street, there is a section of wall approximately 200 meters long, which includes a gateway at the west end.
