Description

The war memorial in the churchyard of the Church of St. Andrew is a former cross that dates back to the 14th century and was converted around 1919. It is constructed from ashlar and sandstone. The memorial is supported by three sandstone steps leading up to a square base from the 14th century, which has stopped angles. Fitted into this base is a contemporary square chamfered shaft. Rising from this is a 20th-century tapering octagonal shaft topped with a crucifix.
