Description

Glen House is an early 17th-century farmhouse, significantly remodelled in 1862. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is covered in Collyweston slate, featuring raised stone coped gables and two moulded stone gable stacks, along with a large, four-shafted moulded stone ridge stack. The building has an L-shaped plan, and is two storeys high with a garret and cellars.

The front elevation has four bays, with a centrally positioned two-light window. To the left of this is a two-light window, and to the right, a splayed stone bay with a two-light window, topped with a hipped Collyweston slate roof. The first floor features a pair of three-light windows flanked by a single four-light and a two-light window. All windows retain ovolo moulded mullions and moulded stone surrounds. A datestone bearing the date 1862 is positioned above the rear door.
