Description
Albemarle Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is built from coursed limestone rubble and features ashlar quoins. The cottage has a steeply pitched pantile roof, which includes two gable brick stacks, one of which has an ashlar base. The building is designed in an L-plan and consists of a single storey plus attics.
The front of the cottage has three bays, with a central fixed light flanked by two single three-light fixed lights, all under timber lintels. The roof features two raking dormers with two-light casements and rendered cheeks. To the right, there is a lower bay, possibly reduced in height, which has 20th-century planked double doors. Also on the right side is a three-light chamfered mullioned window with a cornice.
