Description
Three cottages, now two, were built in 1796, with later work in the early 19th century and 20th century. They are constructed from limestone rubble, with some limestone ashlar detailing. The roof is covered in pantiles, with a single ridge stack and a single gable stack.
The east front has five bays and includes a through passageway on the right side. The passageway uses ashlar dressings from 1796, featuring a semi-circular head, a moulded ashlar architrave, and a flaming urn in place of a keystone. There are two plain sash windows to the left, with the leftmost window partially blocked. A 20th-century doorway with a partially glazed door is situated to the left, followed by a single glazing bar sash window. Above, two plain sashes are positioned with a small 20th-century two-light casement in between.
The west front, with six bays, is on the left side of the through passageway and also features a semi-circular head and moulded ashlar architrave with a flaming urn. A doorway leads to a panelled door, followed by a glazing bar sash window. A 20th-century glazed door with glazing bars is positioned to the right, with a 20th-century two-light casement beyond. A lean-to, 20th-century glazed porch with a plank door is on the right. Above, five plain sashes alternate with three re-used sculpted fragments, one of which is dated 1796 and includes a helmet, plumage, and a stylised floral motif.
