Description
Manor Farm is a house built in 1866, constructed from coursed ironstone rubble with ashlar dressings and a concrete tiled roof featuring coped gables. The building showcases a Victorian Tudoresque style, with two large quadripartite stone ridge stacks and a single two-part stone stack at the rear, all topped with coping.
The house has a slightly projecting gable wing to the east of its rectangular range. This gabled wing is two storeys high with a garret, and it includes a plinth, a first-floor ashlar band, and quoins. The wing features a lower four-light mullion and transom window, a three-light mullion window above, and a small slit light in the gable.
The west range also has a plinth, a first-floor ashlar band, and quoins. There is a doorway at the east end with a stilted head set in a gabled porch. Inside, the door features three long pointed lights. The porch gable displays a heraldic shield inscribed with the year 1866. To the west of the door, there is a two-light mullion window, and between that and another two-light mullion window on the first floor, the design maintains a cohesive architectural style.
