Description

Number 8 Sheep Market is a mid-19th century building located on the west side of Sheep Market. It is constructed of coursed rubble and has two storeys. The steep roof is made of stone slates and features a tall chimney at the corner. The building has two gables, each containing two 2-light windows, while the ground floor has two 3-light windows, all with stone rusticated surrounds and flat arches. The entrance door also has a similar stone surround, but it is accessed by modern steps. This property is included in the listing because it is an important part of the visual group formed by the buildings in Sheep Market.
