Description
The Millstone Inn, located at 1671 All Saints' Street, likely has medieval origins but appears to have been constructed in the early 17th century. The building features an ashlar front with a small parapet and one gable, which is covered with wood boarding over a rough-rendered rectangular two-storey bay. The first-floor window has six lights and two side lights, all under a moulded stone hood. The ground floor retains only two mullions with modern glazing. To the left, there is a double-hung sash window with glazing bars on the first floor, which has a modern wood lintel, and a similar window on the ground floor with a stone arch. The entrance features a double door with four panels set in a 19th-century projecting porch that has a side window with glazing bars. There is also a corner door with six panels. Notably, there is 19th-century lettering between the storeys of the bay stating "Good stabling and loose boxes." The Millstone Inn is part of a group with Nos 1, 3 to 8 consecutively.
