Description
The Golden Fleece Public House is a building likely originating from the 18th century, located on the north side of Sheep Market. It features a reconstructed front elevation with one storey and attics, constructed from coursed rubble. The building has a mansard roof made of stone slates, which includes four dormers; one dormer on the right has three lights with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. There are three modern three-light windows set within modern rendered rusticated surrounds. The entrance consists of a modern door framed by an architrave, flanked by grooved pilasters with paterae, and topped with an open pediment. The properties in Sheep Market create a cohesive visual group.
