Description

No 3 Castle Street, occupied by the Central Press, is an early 19th-century building. It has two storeys and is constructed of coursed rubble with a Welsh slate roof. The building features four brick chimney stacks, three of which have chevron cornices. There is a moulded red brick eaves cornice and six windows with segmental arches, glazing bars, and partly fixed lights. On the ground floor, there are six windows and two doors, all set within segmental-headed architraves. While the building has little individual merit, it is included as part of a group with Nos 1 and 5.
