Description
The Rundles is a house located on Bridge Street in Deeping St. James, dating from the late 17th century and altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a Collyweston slate roof with stone coped gables. The building has two gable stacks and a single axial ridge stack, all with plinths and cornices.
The house has a lobby entry plan and is two stories tall with a five-bay front. The central entrance consists of a 20th-century panel door, which is flanked by single 20th-century fixed lights. To the left of the door is a three-light 17th-century chamfered mullioned window with a cornice, while to the right is a single rectangular bay with 20th-century lights and a hipped Collyweston slate roof. On the first floor, there are four 20th-century two-light windows, and above the door, there is a now blank datestone with a cornice. The building is incorrectly shown as No. 104 on the Ordnance Survey map.
