Description

This is a row of three cottages located at 5-9 Park Road, dating from the 17th century and remodeled in the mid-19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The cottages are built from coursed limestone rubble, featuring some ashlar dressings, and have a black glazed pantile roof adorned with crested ridge tiles. The roof has a single gable and two ridge stacks, which have stone bases and moulded brick tops; the left-hand gable stack was originally external. The cottages are single storey with a garret and present an irregular front with 13 bays. There are three half-glazed doors and ten paired plain casements, all set beneath timber lintels. The four left-hand openings are highlighted by ashlar reveals.
