Description

This is a 17th-century building located on Ironmonger Street. It is two storeys high and has a painted stucco exterior. The steeply pitched roof is covered in stone slates, with a brick stack. The front features an oriel window on the upper level, containing a three-light double-hung sash window with glazing bars and a hipped roof. Chamfered quoins are visible. Below the oriel is a small, boxed window with glazing bars, set between two panels featuring reeded pilasters and an ashlar stall riser. The central entrance has a plain six-panel door, with two glass panels. A second upper window is a double-hung sash with glazing bars, situated above a modern shop with a half-glazed door. The building forms a group with numbers 1 to 6 and 6A on Ironmonger Street.
