Description
No. 5 Ironmonger Street is a 17th-century building that continues the roof line of No. 4. It is two storeys high and constructed of coursed rubble. The building is currently being reroofed. It features one dormer and one upper window that has been extended to form another dormer. There is a brick chimney stack. The early 19th-century projecting shop front is notable, with a reeded door frame situated between two windows that have glazing bars. The entrance includes a double part-glazed door. At the back, there is a wing that is also painted and has a window with early glazing bars, constructed in a half-timber style. Nos. 1 to 6 (consecutive) and No. 6A form a group.
