Description
Nos 22 and 22A on High Street are early 19th-century buildings that curve around a corner site. They are constructed of yellow brick and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The buildings rise three storeys and feature six windows, of which three are blocked. The remaining windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars. There is a modern shop front with a band between the storeys. One window is curved at the corner, and there are two additional windows facing Ironmonger Street, with one not blocked. The first-floor windows at the front have lost some of their glazing bars. These buildings are listed as part of a group with Nos 14 to 31, which, along with the Public Library, form a cohesive architectural ensemble.
