Description
Bourne House is a large mansion built in the late 18th century, constructed from ashlar stone. The building features bands between the storeys and stands three storeys high with three windows. It has rusticated architraves and hung sash windows with glazing bars, and the bands continue at the cills. A parapet crowns the building, and there are two brick chimneys. The cellar windows have been blocked. The entrance includes a rectangular porch with modern glazing supported by plain Tuscan columns, a frieze, and a cornice. The door is a six-panel design with a fanlight above. To the side, the parapet is made of brick with a stone cap, and the building has brick walls with rusticated quoins. There is also a brick extension at the rear.
