Description

Number 10 High Street is a building dating from 1671, located on the north side of the street. The front of the building has been somewhat over-restored and features timber framing along with elaborate bargeboards, which display the date 1849. This façade conceals an original medieval structure that is visible from the back of the building, although there is no evidence of this from the street front or the interior of the ground floor. The building stands three storeys tall and has a roof made of stone slates. It is part of a group that includes number 4 and numbers 6 to 12 consecutively.
