Description

No 14 on High Street is an early 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall with attics, constructed from painted stone. It features a stone slate roof adorned with two cambered dormers and double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars. The building has a wide, heavy moulded modillion eaves cornice. There are three double-hung sash windows with glazing bars on the upper floors, which are panelled with bolection mouldings that create surrounds for the windows and bands between the storeys. The shop front has been modernized. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 14 to 31 and the Public Library, as well as Nos 13 and 15 to 17.
