Description

Number 7 Market Place is a building dating from the 16th century and later. It features a timber frame with an old tiled roof and has a gable end facing the street. The plaster infilling includes sections with curved bracing arranged in a pattern of quadrants within square framing. The building stands three storeys tall and has one modern leaded casement window on each upper floor. The ground floor has a modern shop front. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 5 to 31 (odd) and the Town Hall, which are associated with No 10, as well as Nos 20 to 36 (even) and the barn at the rear of Nos 32 to 34 (even) on the opposite side of the Market Place.
